Book Review: Hoot by Travis Sweet
Summary:
When Roy moves to Florida with his mom and his dad he encounters a bully. While having his face pushed again the window by a bully a boy runny barefoot who is named "Mullet Fingers" who is the brother of Beatrice. The three of them become friends because they are all trying to stop the construction of a new pancake house which would kill the burrowing owls. The three kids won't stop until the construction will stop. They vandalize and destroy the construction vehicles to delay the pancake house construction.
Memorable Moment:
Roy watched in wonderment as more and more kids slipped out of the crowd and began joining hands, forming a barricade around Beatrice's self-buried stepbrother.

Recommendation:
I believe any child who enjoys nature books would enjoy this book. Hoot deals with saving animals which is a major point of the world today. If you do not enjoy books about animals then do not read this book.
